Consulting · Independent advice

An honest second opinion, before you spend the budget.

Architecture reviews, build-vs-buy decisions, technical due diligence and roadmapping — advice from people who also build, so it stays practical instead of theoretical.

When it makes sense

You've probably hit one of these.

An independent read is worth it whenever a decision is expensive to get wrong.

What you get

A clear recommendation, not a slide deck of best practices.

Every engagement ends in a written, plain-language recommendation you can act on.

01

Architecture & code review

An honest, structured assessment of what you have: what's solid, what's risky, what breaks first as you grow.

02

Build vs. buy analysis

A clear recommendation on whether to build custom, adapt a ready-made tool, or extend what already exists — with real numbers behind it.

03

Technical due diligence

Independent evaluation of a system, codebase or vendor before you invest, acquire or sign a contract.

04

Roadmap & scoping

Turning a vague idea into a scoped, sequenced plan a development team can actually execute.

05

Fractional technical advisor

Ongoing access to a technical point of contact for decisions, without a full-time hire.

06

Vendor & proposal review

A second opinion on a quote or proposal you received elsewhere, before you sign.

Areas we cover

We only recommend what we'd be comfortable executing ourselves.

FAQ

The questions we get asked first.

Is this consulting, or do you also build?

Both are available, but they're separate engagements. Consulting gives you an independent recommendation first, free of pressure to sell you a specific build. If you decide to move forward afterward, you can build with us or with anyone else — the advice doesn't change either way.

How is pricing structured?

Single-session reviews — architecture review, code audit, proposal review — start at $1,500. Deeper engagements, like technical due diligence, roadmapping or ongoing fractional advisory, start at $3,000 and are scoped to what you need.

How fast can you start?

Most reviews start within a few days of sharing access to what needs reviewing — a repository, documents, or a call to walk through it.

Do you sign an NDA?

Yes, always, before looking at anything. Confidentiality is standard for this kind of work.

What do I actually receive at the end?

A written report in plain language — findings, risks and a clear recommendation — plus a call to walk through it and answer questions. Not just a deck of generic best practices.
